Paraíba Tourmaline is a precious stone that is known for its rarity and striking greenish blue neon color. Paraíba is a copper and manganese bearing Tourmaline. The high concentration of copper is responsible for the highly coveted radiant blue and green hues in the Paraíba stone. Originally only found in the Paraíba State in northeast Brazil, this variety of Tourmaline is now also found in Mozambique, which is where our tourmaline is sourced from, and is approved by GIA to be reffered as Paraíba in the trade.
